We have a proud legacy lasting from as early as the early twentieth century with some of the most influential Connecticut leaders working for the region both locally, regionally, statewide and nationally. From Cliff Green to Don Williams to Maury Bowen, Brooklyn's Democratic party's main goal has always been one where Brooklyn comes first
Our little community is at the crossroads of the Quiet Corner, we are all that is right with the region. We have the perfect meld of diversity, rural character, commercial development, and forward-thinking planning. It hasn't always been easy and won't be still. Brooklyn's unique placement in Windham County makes us the one of the fastest-growing communities in the Quiet Corner, if not in Windham County. People have been moving in from Providence, Hartford, New Haven, New London and Worcester - to just name a few - and bringing their families and views to our once quiet community.
We believe that Brooklyn needs to continue going forward. We are at critical stage of growth in our town. Route 6 is nearly done, a regional high school is in the works, we have unified a townwide zip code starting in December and many plans for much commercial development in the near future. A municipal golf course has been developed and is very successful, our tax base is growing and spending is under control.
We hope to continue on this successful path. With several grants from both the state and federal levels, we have many other works planned for the near future. Brooklyn is a well-respected town all over the state, not only for the great quality of life we all share, but for the regional leadership we have displayed when working with state and federal officials. Our school system is one of the most highly respected in Connecticut - thanks to the many hard working professionals and volunteers working with our kids everyday.
It is because of this leadership, we ask that you continue to support the Brooklyn Democrats and build a better future together with us. Only through the constant work and untiring support of people such as yourself will all our voices be heard in Hartford, Washington and Brooklyn town hall - thank you for visitng our site - we hope to meet you soon.

If you are going to make oil based perfume then begin with the 2:1 ratio of grape seed or high quality olive oil to flowers. You are suggested to use native plants as they are quite easily attainable. To produce top quality unique fragrance plants such as lavender, Kangaroo Paw, and the Southern Spring Flower are some of the best flowers to use. Just bruise the flowers softly and place them at bottom of medium sized glass bowl. Then pour the oil over it and keep the mixture covered with the cheese cloth for minimum 24 hours. Stretch the mixture through the cheese cloth and recur the same process again.
Now what you have is essential oil of whatever flower mixture you used. To make an oil based Celebrity Perfumes you can either use essential oil mixture or you can use a mix of 3:1 oil to vodka to help thin the oil out to make applying the oil to the skin a bit easier. All the containers that are used to make perfume should be dark in color to deter light and it is necessary to store it at dark and cool place to avoid degradation of fragrance quality.
